State troopers are trying to figure out the name of a man injured in a moped accident Tuesday morning in Pamlico County.
The crash happened around 7:00 a.m. on Highway 55 near the ABC store in Grantsboro.
Troopers say the driver ran off the right side of the road, overturned and hit a culvert. He was first taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center in New Bern and then airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
The driver didn't have any ID with him. He is a Hispanic man in his late 20s, operating a black Fly Eagle moped model YY250T.
The driver according to Highway Patrol has a tattoo of the name Crystal underlined in a scrolling design on his right upper arm.
