A Cherry Point Marine is accused of running over the legs of a friend with his car, after a domestic disturbance.
Greenville police say it happened around 2:45 a.m. Saturday on Stancil Drive.
The 26-year-old victim told police that Lance Corporal Jesse Tucker had fought with her, and as he was leaving ran over the woman, injuring her legs. She was taken to Vidant Medical Center for treatment.
Witnesses told police that Tucker assaulted them when they tried to stop him from from hurting the woman.
Officers found Tucker sitting inside his vehicle in the parking lot. He's been charged with assault with a deadly weapon, driving while impaired, assault on a female and two counts of simple assault.
He was jailed on a $3,000 secured bond.
A man with a Cherry Point address is booked in the jail in Pitt County after his arrest in Greenville this weekend.
Jesse Tucker, 21, of Havelock is charged with DWI, hit and run inflicting injury, assault inflicting serious injury, assault on a female and two counts of simple assault. His bond was set at $25,000.
Officials at the Pitt County Detention Center say Tucker was booked just before 6 a.m. on Saturday.
