A Pamlico County man will have to serve at least five years in prison after his guilty plea in a drunk driving fatality.

Joshua Hardison was sentenced Wednesday morning after pleading guilty Monday to aggravated felony death by vehicle and two counts of felony serious injury by vehicle.

Authorities say 24-year-old Amber Jones was killed when Hardison's vehicle struck a tree on Creek Pointe Road back on January 21st. Two other passengers, 14-year-old Devan Banks and 40-year-old Tina Simpson, were seriously injured in the crash.
