A New Bern man is in jail, accused of the sex abuse of a child.
Craven County deputies have charged David Nicholson with statutory rape and statutory sex offense.
Arrest warrants say the victim was under 13 years old and the offenses happened from December 2009 until April 3rd.
The 26-year-old man is in jail on a $100,000 bond and is scheduled to appear before a judge today on the charges.
