Havelock Police say that they have arrested man they say is responsible for the armed robbery of a Waffle House.

Officials say they’ve arrested 32-year-old James Castonguay of Morehead City for the robbery of the Waffle House at 225 US Highway 70 West in Havelock around 5:42 a.m Saturday.

Police say that Castonguay held up the restaurant at knife point and left with money from the register.

Officials say a description was given to police by telecommunicators that the robber was walking toward the nearby Musashi's Restaurant. Officers say they spotted a silver SUV pulling out of the Musashi’s parking lot and stopped it. Investigators say that two knives, a mask, and money from the Waffle House were found.

Officials say Castonguay is believed involved in two other robberies. He has been charged with the May 24th hold-up at the Holiday Inn Express in Havelock, and is suspected in the another hotel robbery the next day in Jacksonville.

He’s being held on a $100,000 bond.

This case is still under investigation.

Further charges against Castonguay are pending from the Jacksonville Investigators.
