They are some of the biggest, most expensive, and most unique homes on the market here in Eastern Carolina and we have an inside look for you.
Pitt County Realtor Connie Corey showed us one magnificent two story home in Greenville that isn’t the most expensive, but she says is one of the largest in Pitt County.
She says, “This house is right at 6,500 square feet. It features five bedrooms, 5-1/2 full baths, formal living, formal dining, family room. It has 4 four fireplaces, a pool. It’s a large home but its a cozy home.”
With hardwood floors and vaulted ceilings, the house provides a spacious and open floor plan. Inside the downstairs master bedroom is a fireplace, bathroom with his and hers sinks, a walk-in closet, and a private patio. Upstairs has five more rooms, each one filled with multiple windows, along with another fireplace and a shared balcony that overlooks the family pool.
Corey says, “It was previously listed at $949,000 and now its listed at $875,000.”
If you want something with a water view, an 11,000 square foot mansion in Beaufort County will certainly catch your attention. Built in 2006 for boat builder Reggie Fountain, the five bedroom, six and a half bathroom house is equipped with 17 TVs, including a big screen in the movie theater room, which is just steps away from the fully equipped gym.
Realtor Tom Atkins says, “Each of the 12 rooms is individually heated or cooled with heat pumps. The whole house has a 400 horse power generator which will power the house for a month and a half if it were to lose power.”
The house is three stories, including a garage. But if you don’t want to use the stairs, there’s always a private elevator.
Atkins says, “There’s nothing like it in Eastern Carolina. It’s listed at $2,995,000.
In Craven County located off a quiet dirt road in New Bern sits a gated 1-1/2 story home, that is anything but modern.
Realtor Tay Roberts says the uniquely designed floor plan was built in 1961. The countless windows throughout the house allow natural light in, giving you a perfect view of the five acres of land that surround the home.
Roberts says, “It was designed especially for this lot, whereas part of the house is built over a ravine and it is unique in all the natural light.”
The downstairs, just as open as the upstairs, offers a fourth bedroom and bathroom. Patio doors lead outside to the play yard for children and a private boat dock.
Roberts says the home has only been on the market for a few weeks, but if you’re thinking this open floor plan is your dream buy, get your wallets ready because it’s listed as one of the most expensive homes in craven county.
Roberts says, “It’s on the market for $1,800,000.”
