Folks in New Bern will be opening their doors to strangers this weekend during the spring historic homes and gardens tour.
There are 17 homes and gardens on tour in the colonial capital's historic downtown district this year.
One site is the All Saints Chapel that was built in 1895 and was recently converted into a home.
The event is sponsored by the New Bern Historical Society and the New Bern Preservation Foundation.
The tours are taking place Saturday from 10:00 until 4:00 p.m. and tickets are $20.00. They are being sold at Mitchell Hardware, the Harris Teeter, Carolina Creations and Bank of the Arts.
