Havelock Power Outage Restored

Power was out to hundreds of homes and businesses in Havelock this morning.

Progress Energy says the outage was reported around 10:30 a.m. and impacted close to 700 customers.

The city says the outage was in the western and middle sections of Havelock and several traffic lights were affected.

The power company says the outage happened when someone was cutting down a tree and it fell on a power line.

Power was restored to all customers shortly after lunch.

I'm glad they restored the outage. I don't know what they were going to do without it.

Green Peace should disown him for cutting down a tree.
