Police have charged the woman they say caused a crash on Highway 70 in Havelock Wednesday night with DWI.
Wanda Edwards, 32, is charged with DWI, according to the Havelock News. Edwards hit another car as she was pulling away from an ABC Store. The newspaper reports that Edwards was driving without a license; it had been revoked when she was previously charged with DWI.
A wreck on highway 70 sent 5 people to the hospital Wednesday.
City of Havelock public information officer Diane Miller says there was an accident on Highway 70 westbound near the McDonald's at Webb Boulevard which left one vehicle in the ditch.
She says 5 people were taken to hospitals with non life threatening injuries. No word on any charges or what caused the crash.
