A Greenville woman has been charged after troopers say didn't yield to an oncoming tractor trailer.
The accident happened around 8:15 a.m. on Highway 17 outside of Vanceboro.
Troopers say 22-year-old Jasmin Ikard was heading north on the U.S. 17 bypass when her car was struck by the tractor trailer.
The woman was treated and released at CarolinaEast Medical Center.
Dispatchers said troopers were on their way to a tractor trailer versus car wreck along an often-traveled highway Thursday morning.
Highway Patrol officials said they got a call around 8:20 a.m. Thursday to the Vanceboro Bypass along Highway 17 north in Craven County.
No word yet on any injuries or traffic delays in the area.
