The fall season also means flu season is right around the corner and now is the time to get vaccinated.
Signs are up and down the road near drug stores reminding everyone to get that shot and one pharmacist says they are working.
Flu season starts in November and typically lasts until April.
Trey Paul is a pharmacist and administers the shot at Realo Pharmacy off of Glenburnie Road in New Bern. He says this year they have seen an increase in the amount of shots they have given by this same time last year.
Realo, like many drug stores, does not require an appointment to get your flu shot and Paul says most insurance will at least help, if not cover the shot entirely.
