Passengers at Coastal Carolina Airport in New Bern are being greeted by artwork on the lawn.
It's the 4th year ECU students have been chosen to display their original artwork at the airport. Seven student's were chosen out of the 25 that submitted models at the end of January. Each student took their model and created sculptures that will be on display for the next year.
Airport director Tom Braaten says, "People stop in and say I like that one and they'll talk about a particular one or just say it's just kind of restful to see them and they'll always ask, who did them, and we'll say ECU students. They say these are professional pieces, it's a good school up there."
Braaten says having the sculptures at the airport gives the opportunity for a lot of people to see them.
