The search is on for the person who shot a Craven County man in his own home early Friday morning.
Captain Joe Heckman with the Craven County Sheriff's Office tells WITN deputies got a call to 1330 Southwest Craven Middle School Road around 2 a.m. Friday.
According to Heckman, 38-year-old Leo Mitchel was shot in his own home.
Mitchel was taken to Vidant Medical Center where deputies said he is in stable condition.
Investigators said they have no description of the person behind the gun, but their investigation continues.
