A pretty sizable sinkhole is getting repaired at a riverside park this week. Crews in New Bern are working to patch a 5,000 square foot section of Union Point Park that's been sinking, causing trouble for motorists and pedestrians.
The work began last week and should be finished sometime this week, according to the New Bern Sun Journal.
The paper also reported that crews are using this opportunity to upgrade the drainage in that area.
