Trooper Joe Midgette says about 6:55 p.m. Thursday a gray Toyota sedan headed North on 43 ran into a Chevy truck in front of her that was turning right onto Butler Ford Road in Craven County. She ran off the road and was taken to Vidant Medical Center. The driver of the truck was not injured.
Trooper Midgette says the driver of the car is charged with failure to reduce speed and driving uninsured. He says her injuries did not seem to be life-threatening.
