The commission advising the governor and Department of Public Safety on crime and justice issues will meet in the east to discuss grants.
The Governor's Crime Commission will be having its quarterly meeting Wednesday in New Bern to discuss topics related to grants including grant funding.
The commission's goal is to set program priorities, reviews, and give the governor recommendations on grant awards.
The meeting will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Double Tree Hotel in New Bern.
Another meeting is set for Thursday at 9 a.m. which will also be held at the New Bern Double Tree Hotel.
