If you're not hitting the roads you may be taking to the skies to get to your Christmas destination.
Flights are full at the Coastal Carolina Regional Airport. Airport director Tom Braaten says they are busy and there have not been any problems.
Derek Schoenherr was eager to get on his flight to Wisconsin to reunite with his wife and two- year-old son. They moved back there temporarily in October in anticipation of him deploying, which was then canceled. Schoenherr says he's only seen them over the computer since then. They will be moving back after Christmas.
Braaten says at the airport this time of the year you see lots of smiles and people with great expectations going to visit grandma and some great stories of people coming in that they haven't seen for awhile.
Braaten reminds those headed to the airport to give themselves plenty of time and arrive at least an hour before your flight.
