A three vehicle crash closed down part of U.S. 70 in Craven County, east of New Bern Monday afternoon.
The accident happened around 2:40 p.m. in front of Wright Countertops and forced westbound traffic to be detoured. The highway reopened about an hour later.
Troopers say an SUV was crossing the highway and didn't see a vehicle heading westbound. The two vehicles collided and then hit a truck that was waiting at a stop sign.
Jennett Davenport, 73, of New Bern was taken to CarolinaEast Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
