Marine Airlifted To PCMH

A Cherry Point Marine was airlifted to Pitt County Memorial Hospital after his Jeep landed on its side and into a ditch Thursday morning.

Troopers say Vincent Catanzano's injuries are not believed to be life threatening. Catanzano told troopers that he fell asleep at the wheel.

The crash happened on U.S. 70 between New Bern and Havelock.

this poor guy was probly on his way home from his civilian job, how sad is that the government pays the men and women of the armed forces so little that they must in addition to being a marine have to get a second nite time civilian job just to make ends meet....

They've always used them this way. Also, the only "just war" I know we've been involved in have been the Revolutionary War, War of 1812 - We were invaded, Civil War, and WWII. Everything else has been a war and that's it. I would say that the war in Afganistan is just. We just don't need to loose focus. I don't know what Iraq was other than a quagmire, they should have finished the job in '91 to begin with. Even that war was about oil, we had a economic stake in Kuwait's oil and the US saw need to protect it. Also, many times, you don't hear of as much mental illness out of wars that are "just." People have something to fight for. Revolutionary War - Independance, 1812 - Continued independance, Civil War - Rights of Man, WWII - Defeat of Nazi's and Japanese.

What does that mean. Geeze happens everyday where people are over tired and doze off. That has nothing to do with our Marines in war.
