Second Arrest Made In Home Invasion & Armed Robbery

A second arrest has been made in a home invasion and armed robbery.

New Bern Police say the robbery happened on Valentine's day at the Hunters Landing Apartments.

The victims told police two men with guns forced their way into the apartment, held them at gunpoint and stole money from a woman's purse.

Jamaal Jones of Bayboro had already been arrested for the incident.

Travis Sconyers of Vanceboro surrendered to New Bern police and faces burglary, robbery and kidnapping charges. He's in the Craven County Jail until his court appearance Thursday.

    No one was injured, everybody is OK. Let these boys go. They learned their lesson. They promise not to do it again!
