Wind Causes Quite A Scene

It didn't bring anything frozen our way but a Nor'easter that hit the east coast brought heavy winds that dried out portions of many of our river beds.

In New Bern at Lawson Creek Park, about 20 yards of shore can be seen as much of the Trent and Neuse Rivers have been pushed out towards the Outer Banks.

The gusts caused Dare and Pamlico County Schools to close early.

Officials in Pamlico County say they released students at around 1 o'clock as a precautionary measure.

School system officials say Wednesday's decision was made because the childrens safety is the number one priority.

Why did WITN put a wind turbine up on this report?I would not ask that question if it were an oil well being built or a nuclear facility.
