Four Injured In Craven County Wrecks

At least four people were hospitalized Monday night after troopers say one wreck spawned another in Craven County.

Troopers say a car was struck when the driver of a pickup crossed the median on Highway 70 just outside of New Bern, while cars were stopping for another wreck.

Two people in the car were hospitalized, one was airlifted.

In the initial crash, troopers say a car was turning left onto Garner road when it collided with an SUV. The driver and passenger of the car were hospitalized.

Both wrecks rerouted traffic for about an hour.
