Police: Man Breaking Into New Bern Business Caught In The Act

A "suspicious person" call led police to a young man trying to breaking into a business Sunday, according to New Bern officials.

Arrested was 18-year-old Otis Croner of Fox Chase Village.

Police say they spotted Croner when they went to the back of a building on Neuse Boulevard and saw him climbing through a window of the Continental Baking Company.

Police say when Croner saw the responding officer, he dropped the flashlight he had been holding. He was taken into custody and charged with breaking and entering of a building and destruction/damage to property.
