Police: Woman Caught With A Pound Of Pot In Her Car

Police in Havelock say they busted a woman carrying at least a pound of pot in her car.

Police arrested Ashley Roberts Thursday night during a traffic stop. Police say Roberts gave false information regarding her identity.

After the K-9 dogs were brought in, police say they found 459 grams of marijuana.

Roberts was locked up on a $10,000 secured bond and her vehicle has been seized.

Court records show Roberts has a court date set for December 3rd in Craven County.

When are people going to educate themselves? How is it that there are people thriving where pot IS legal? No "gateway" drug in their eyes. The US is just being racist b/c black people and hispanics are who introduced this country to marijuana, and I'm WHITE! It's obvious that the gov't would save and MAKE more money to EMBRASE the legalization of this HARMLESS drug. NOT ONE PERSON HAS EVER OVERDOSED on smoking pot! Maybe, gained a little weight, depending on the variety of pot they smoked! Like I said before, get educated. I think brainwashing our kids by allowing them to sit in front of the TV all day and do as they please is something MUCH scarier than legalizing pot!

List the HARMFUL "side effects" of smoking pot. Then, place a list of the side effects of drinking alcohol, smoking cigs, eating fast foods, driving too fast in your car on a busy street. My bet is that the list of "Harmful" side effects to smoking pot are much less. GET EDUCTATED. FEAR and reefermadness is still corrupting some of the sheep in our country! Sad, but true. A rapist will get out before someone dealing pot. Now isn't that justice?

Neal, you've just scared the daylights out of me. Are you taking your cues from the manifesto written by the Unabomber? I would hate to live like you, scared of everything and everybody.

Neal, why would you call law enforcement if your neighbor was smoking pot? Seems someone as self reliant as you wouldn't need law enforcement...
