The case of a teen facing charges after another teen drowned was continued Friday until October 2.
19-year-old John Bullard of Havelock faces four misdemeanor charges related to events that investigators believe took place before the death of 17-year-old Anthony Badger, Jr. Badger fell off a personal watercraft and disappeared into the Neuse River July 5 in Oriental in Pamlico County.
The most serious of the charges against Bullard is operating a personal watercraft in a reckless and negligent manner as to endanger the life of Badger. Investigators say alcohol was involved.
