It was another soggy day Thursday for Craven County as the skies opened up just after lunch.
Thursday's rain wasn't nearly as bad as Wednesday when close to ten inches fell in Havelock. Residents spent much of the day Thursday cleaning up.
Nellie Walker says her McCotter Boulevard home had water inside. The carpets were ruined and a company spent the day cleaning up. Walker says a backed up sewer system has been an issue since they moved in. "It was coming in the front door, the bedroom, the garage, kitchen. Everywhere, anywhere there was a wall, water was coming in."
The Walker's don't know where they will stay Thursday night, but say they're happy they have insurance to cover the damage.
