911 communications systems are back up and running in one Eastern Carolina City.
Callers in New Bern were asked to call an administrative number instead of 911 because of a circuit failure.
The problem was discovered when an in house transfer did not go through.
Comm Center officials say all abandoned calls have been accounted for and the transition went smoothly.
The lines were down from just after 4PM until around 7PM.
Comm center officials say several alternatives are in place in case of line failure, such as rolling over to administrative lines as they did on Thursday, or lines can roll over to Craven County Communications.
It is now ok to call 911 in New Bern for service.
The Call Center was having problems receiving 911 calls. Those problems have been fixed.
