Missing Teen's Body Found In Neuse River

Pamlico County authorities tell WITN News that a body found in the Neuse River in Craven County belongs to a missing teenager.

Authorities say the body was found near the Cherry Branch ferry terminal on Highway 306.

The past weekend Anthony Badger disappeared across the river in waters near Oriental.

On Sunday Badger was swimming with two other friends when he began having trouble in the water and went under. Authorities say the teen was not wearing a life vest.

I used to work at the Foodlion in Winterville and I used to ring up people that I least imagine, will get them, paying for their food with foodstamps.(Whites,Blacks and Mexicans)..People coming in their after they get off work, dressed up like they work in an office..So,why are people up here, saying that people shouldn't get foodstamps..I think its good to have for the low-income people..What about the elderly thats get SSI and on a fit income..Why should anybody have to only get beans and such foods..Their are some people ,that haven't sold their foodstamps..Why should we be judge..I work but I till get foodstamps..Its not much but it do make it alot easier..We shouldn't let the kids suffer because we have unfit, drug addict people out here that sale their food for money..

This death does not affect everyone. That being said, it seems to be the "back and forth" arguing over WITN's spelling proves just that! I see nothing wrong in letting the media know something was left off.I find IT WAS WARRANTED.

Jennifer, it's great to have perfect people to point out the mistakes of those that never claim to be perfect. May God bless this family in a time of grief.

I mean please!!! These people lost a loved one...a child...a brother...and all you can complain about is spelling? Keep in mind that this child's death is WAY more important than an "s" being left off of a word. May God be with this family in their time of need. RIP Anthony Badger!!!
