Senator Kay Hagan paid a visit to our coast today.
Hagan was in New Bern where she had a roundtable discussion with Mayor Tom Bayliss and City Alderman about how more than 6 billion dollars in stimulus money heading to our state will be used.
Creating jobs, aiding economic development, and tourism topped the list. Hagan stopped at several downtown tourist hot spots like the birthplace of Pepsi-Cola before leaving the Bear City.
Hagan also talked about the significance of the city's 300th Anniversary celebration and it's potential impact on tourism.
