Several farmers here in Eastern Carolina are prepping for a hard freeze.
With temperatures expected to hover around the freezing mark, Larry Ipock who peddles fruits and veggies for a living in Craven County has been cutting back his asparagus and getting his water pumps ready.
Agriculture officials say farmers have grown accustomed to this time of year.
Ipock says he's planning for a sleepless night checking on his crops.
Ipock says he's normally picking strawberries right now, but recent cold snaps have him a few weeks behind.
