Pamlico County Family Reacts To Boating Tragedy

Loved ones are reacting to news that a boat capsized off the coast of New Jersey killing two people from eastern Carolina. Four more people, two from the east, are still missing.

Roy Smith Junior and his brother Timothy from Mesic, Pamlico County were pronounced dead.

Family members tell us two other relatives were on the boat. Tarzan "Bernie" Smith, who is an uncle, and Frankie Credle, a cousin, are still missing.

The boat is owned by Roy Smith, Sr. of Bayboro.

Carol Sparrow is the aunt of the two dead brothers. She had to break the terrible news to their mother Hazel.

"Right now it's just unbelievable that I have lost two nephews and my brother still missing, Tarzan. For those four that are missing, I do have hope because miracles do happen everyday. And I believe it that somehow the other four crew members that are missing, they're out there," Sparrow told WITN.

The search continues for those still missing.
