Parts Of Craven Community College No Longer On Lockdown

A building at Craven Community College is no longer on lockdown after authorities arrest a man on campus with a gun.

A school spokesman tells us the suspect was spotted by the school's business and information technology building, which went on lockdown while Sheriff's and campus security questioned the man who was allegedly armed with a 9 millimeter hand gun and claimed he was a cab driver.

The suspect was arrested and charged with having a firearm on educational property.

The sheriff's office says he was charged with a misdemeanor, not a felony because he had the gun in a holster and got out of his vehicle to help the handicapped student he was dropping off. Lawmen say the cabbie didn't know he wasn't allowed to have a firearm on campus.

It should also be stated that it was legal for him to outside carry his weapon. He for the most part had his second amendment rights infringed upon. This was not a "public school" a tuition is paid.

Actually, this is a state of the art building and it can see and spot things. It also cooks and cleans.

Buildings cannot see, they cannot spot anything either.
