New Bern Man Sentenced In Child Porn Case

A 64-year-old man will spend 6 and-a-half years in jail for downloading hundreds of images of child pornography.

Ralph Clos of New Bern was sentenced in U.S. District court.

Authorities say Clos pleaded guilty to receiving child porn back in September. Clos was busted after he downloaded the pictures from a website monitored by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

The images included prepubescent children in sexual acts and sadomasochistic abuse. After Clos finishes his sentence he'll have 5 years of supervised release.

Oh Please. Yes sex is natural but sex with children is NOT. And again, Oh Please. I had one of those unpleasant childhoods because my dad is one of these creeps. I know right from wrong. I am not what he is. It is a matter of them not controlling themselves. "Help" does not help them. They keep doing it. The focus shouldn't be the desire to "help" a pervert, it should be to make sure they don't hurt another child.

yes it is "sick" but these people need help not jail time. Alcoholics get help, drug addicthave the option of rehab, how about some help for people with this kind of sex addiction? If anyone willingly admitted to this problem they would immediately be judged and/or worse, therefore they don't/can't get help without worrying about consequences or being looked down upon. Stop judging especially when all of the facts aren't always included in news reports. People with type of addiction or any type really, most likely triggered from an unpleasant past/childhood. Try to help and stop the judgements.

This is just another classic case of slap you on the wrist and let you out in a few years to do the same thing all over again. These people need help and help of a physcological type. We are not going to help these people by locking them up in prisons unless it is a 20 year sentence so that they can have no access to children. Something more has to be done before these perverts act out or worse some parent acts out on them!

Anonymous its not like that, Child porn is sick, and its fueled by the money it takes to download it. It is tourture and rape to small children and every time someone downloads it, it hurts more children. Pot is a differnt story and you should be ashamed of your self comparing the two. Child porn can promote molesting children, sexual assult and battery. Children who are in these pictures are usally bought and sold in the industry and have no choice. It's discusting, and the people downloading, selling, and making these pictures should be jailed.

I'm sure glad I didn't download a picture of a Pot Plant. I would be under arrest and at the cost of you tax payers.

More tax payer up-keep. Bust the site that made child porn accessible and charge them. It is only human nature to see sex, as it is an inherited factor of human reproduction. Age is only associated by legal issues. We tax payers continue to suffer the consequences of a natural crime.
