Just a little north of New Bern, winter's greatest wonder fell pretty steadily throughout Wednesday morning.
Snow fell enough to cover car tops and treetops in between the Bear City and Vanceboro. The roads seemed very wet but have yet to freeze over in many places. Lots of people were out to enjoy this year's second recordable snowfall that blanketed the ground in some areas.
Auto body shops said they were extra busy just two weeks ago, but that they didn't expect business to pick up as a result of today's weather.
