Veterans and members of the military will be honored in a celebration in Craven County.
The Havelock Chamber of Commerce will hold its Annual Salute to the Veterans and Military Tuesday.
Since the event began, approximately 400 active duty, verterans and their guests from all branches of the five Armed Forces have been honored each year.
Retired U.S. Marine Corps Major Gen.Tom Bratten will be the Master of Ceremonies for the celebration.
The event will include a special tribute to World War II war veterans, recognized from oldest to youngest and dinner provided by individual and business sponsorships.
This year, "In Memory of" and "Salute to" sponsorships will be offered to remember those who have died and those serving in Afghanistan and around the world who cannot be present at the moment.
The celebration will take place 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Havelock Tourist and Event Center in Havelock.
