Reports say a fire at a house in Morehead City Wednesday has been ruled accidental.
The fire on Fisher St. started near a dryer in the laundry room in one of the apartments in the house, according to the Jacksonville Daily News.
Two firefighters were injured battling the blaze. It took crews three hours to get the massive blaze under control.
The fire broke out around 11:00 a.m. at a home at 7th and Fisher.
Morehead City Fire Chief Wes Lail says he called the fire in as he was driving to city hall and saw smoke a few blocks away.
The chief said he found a woman coming out of the home, telling him her phone didn't work and her house was on fire.
Chief Lail says two Morehead City firefighters were taken to Carteret General Hospital suffering from heat exhaustion.
It took crews about 3 hours to control the fire, while the cause is still under investigation.
