Store Owners Arrested For Bath Salts

Carteret County lawmen arrested two convenience store owners who said they did not realize they had bath salts in their car.

Isam Asab Elquza and Nehad Isam Elquza were charged after lawmen found a gram of bath salts in their car. The husband and wife own and operate the "In And Out" convenience store.

Last Wesnesday bath salts became illegal in North Carolina, and store owners were forced to pull them from shelves.

A press release from the Carteret County Sheriff called the couple "morally deficient, and now criminals in the eyes of the law."

    The goverment is taking property by banning a once legal product, they should be required to pay for the product they are making illegal.

    y r u jealous of store owners making money? gas stations would sell guns if it was legal. its called capitalism. supply the demand... They should just confiscate the product if it was just recently banned.

    Are you kidding? They knew from the get go that "bath salts" are drugs. They sell them to the Americans so that it ruins their lives and they (Arabs running those stores)make money.

      we just like to blame other people for are mistakes nobody forced us to buy them or take them and its not the arabs that made them legal in the first place

    Bath salt, synthetic marijuana and real marijuana are illegal but cigarettes alcohol and prescription drugs are legal....God bless America.

      are you kidding me?? do some research to see what this crap is doing to people before you defend it. for every person that had a good time on it twice as many began hallucinating and eventually ended up in the psych ward or morge

    If they made it illegal they should have to buy any that the store owners still had, not arrest them for it.
