Some Closures Remain Following Irene

Tyrrell County Schools and some parts of Cape Lookout National Seashore remain closed following Hurricane Irene.

Tyrrell County Schools remain closed until further notice after several schools were damaged.

Much of Cape Lookout has re-opened but the Cabin Camps with docks and historic villages remain closed until further notice.

Hurricane Irene made landfall at Cape Lookout.
