One of two people who were shot at Monday morning in Morehead City is now in jail, charged in connection with a murder earlier this month.
Havelock police say Ronald Morris of Morehead City has been charged with accessory after the fact in the murder of David Price.
The 45-year-old Price was gunned down at his Cedar Ridge Lane home on August 1st. Christopher Godette has already been charged with Price's murder.
Police say Morris was there when Price was shot, and drove Godette from the murder scene. Investigators say the black Dodge Ram 2500 series pickup truck with no tailgate they were looking for belonged to Morris.
On Monday, Morris and a woman were shot at in the parking lot of a Morehead City convenience store. Their black pickup truck was hit multiple times with gunfire, and Dennis Clinton of Greenville was charged with attempted murder in that case.
Bond for Morris was increased to $250,000 after his first appearance on Wednesday and he remains in jail.
