A worker apparently upset that he hadn't been paid was arrested by police for holding a gun to his foreman's head.
Hector Xocua of Greenville, South Carolina has been charged with assault by pointing a gun.
Beaufort police say around 12:30 p.m. Monday they were called to the construction site for Beaufort Springs, an assisted living complex.
911 told officers there was an intoxicated man armed with a gun.
They found Xocua, and discovered a .380 semi-automatic handgun hidden under a truck's bumper.
Site foreman Christian Ambrosia-Cortes told officers that Xocua walked up to him, holding a pistol and demanding that he got paid. After telling the man he didn't have the money, the foreman says the worker then placed the barrel of the gun up to his head.
The 24-year-old Xocua was jailed on a $1,000 bond and has a July 21st court date.
