A Carteret County man is facing new charges for the death of his friend in a car wreck last Friday.
According to state troopers, Joshuah Dodd is now facing a misdemeanor death by motor vehicle in addition to the failure to yield charge that he received last week.
His friend, 21-year-old Hannah Smith of Swansboro who was a passenger in the car, was killed after he crashed into another car last Friday night on Highway 58 in Cape Carteret. Smith was buried Thursday.
