A Newport man is jailed on a $1 million bond after deputies say he sexually assaulted two teen girls.
Larry Swiger is charged with first degree sex offense on a child under the age of 13, two counts of statutory sex offense with a child under the age of 15, and five counts of statutory rape on a child under the age of 15.
Carteret County deputies say both girls were under 15 at the time and the alleged assaults took place between 2009 and 2011.
The 31-year-old man has his first court appearance Thursday morning.
