Some storms rolled through Sunday afternoon and one along the coast produced lightning that hit a house.
Atlantic Beach firefighters say a home on East Dunes Avenue was struck by lightning around 2:15 Sunday afternoon.
People were home at the time, but luckily nobody was hurt.
Neighbor Jeff Smith heard and saw everything. He says, "It was just like an explosion. I saw it hit the power pole out there. The thing hit a transformer and blew up. It was pretty loud. It got my attention.
Smith says the power went out at his house.
Firefighters say Smith's neighbors electronics exploded.
Another neighbor tells us her telephone and computer were also fried by the storm.
