Two departures on the Cedar Island-Ocracoke ferry route are being canceled to allow the U.S. Coast Guard to perform its annual inspection on one of the vessels.
The inspection scheduled for Wednesday is a yearly requirement for each vessel in the North Carolina ferry system.
The canceled departures are the 11:30 a.m. run from Cedar Island and the 3 p.m. run from Ocracoke.
Ferries for Cedar Island will be leaving at 7:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. The run to Ocracoke is scheduled for 7 a.m., 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
