Flood Watch Issued

The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Carteret, Hyde and Dare counties for Wednesday.

The National Weather Service says rainfall amounts upwards of three inches or more may produce the potential for flooding. The areas in the watch have already received a lot of rain this month, so additional rainfall could create flooded areas.

A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

Raining in Chocowinity like someone pouring water out of a boot. In other words...it's raining cats and dogs, lol. Try to stay dry everyone and be very careful on the highways.
