The Coast Guard rescued a fisherman in the Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament after the man suffered a heart attack Monday.
The 52-year-old man was aboard the Billfisher when the medical emergency happened. The boat was 87 miles southeast of Cape Lookout. A 47-foot motor boat crew escorted the Billfisher to station Fort Macon where medical personnel were waiting. The man was taken to Carteret General Hospital.
