Fire Chief: Mobile Home Destroyed Saturday Night In Carteret County
A Saturday evening fire destroys a home in Carteret County
Chief Alton Davis with the North River & Laurel Volunteer Fire Dept. says that it happened at 1054 Merrimon Road in the county. Dispatch says it happened around 7:11 p.m. Davis tells WITN that the cause of the fire was electrical and that the mobile home is a total loss.
The one resident was not home when the fire happened. There were no other injuries. We're told that person has next of kin that are looking out for them.
