Deputies Catch Burglars in The Act At VFW

Two men were caught in the act after deputies say they broke into the Veterans Of Foreign Wars in Newport. Deputies say for one of the suspects it's not the first time he's done it.

Jeremy Aycock and Danny Bradford, both of Newport, were arrested Sunday.

Around 2:00 a.m. a deputy was conducting a routine business check and found the rear door kicked in. They say as Bradford tried to leave with stolen merchandise, he was held at gunpoint until more deputies arrived. Once inside deputies say they found Aycock hiding in a closet.

Both men were charged with breaking and entering and larceny, damage to property and possession of stolen goods. Bonds were set at $10,000.

Deputies say back in 2005 Aycock broke into the same building and served seven months in prison for that crime.

What does a VFW building have worth stealing> An A/C unit? A big screen TV?

But, what is worth risking a criminal record. I've been in several VFW buildings and never saw much that would be worth stealing. (i.e. easy to pawn) No disrespect intended.

These Dirt Bags that never served society in a good way have the nerve to do a B & E at a V F W. Drop them in the middle of Afganhastan and make them walk out.
