Duo Arrested For Recent Carteret County Break-Ins

A couple wanted by Newport police for recent residential break-ins in Carteret County was arrested Saturday. Detectives say the two ripped off people when they were supposed to be repairing their homes.

28-year-old Jennifer Lynn Daniels and 21-year-old Eric Norris Sanders, who were both wanted by the NPD for January break-ins, were seen by an officer who was responding to an unrelated call.

Daniels and Sanders are now being held at Carteret County Jail on charges that include breaking and entering and larceny. They are both being held under a $30,000 bond each.

The duo is suspected of stealing more than $5,000 in various items from the Mindora Court area of Newport. Originally they had been hired by victims for home repairs when the crimes occurred.

I'm surprised. Lavon usually jumps at a chance to make negative comments on crimes commited by white people. No guns used, no lives threatened...I guess the crime isn't serious enough for him to comment. He's saving it for that rare white armed robbery. Maybe Barlow will add his 2¢?

People like this make me think I am too hard on myself when I think of what a dork I was in my youth. At least, my worst mistakes only were damaging to myself. Fools- you tossed away your futures!

Unless you know people personally, NEVER leave anyone at your home alone and always keep an eye on them. I hired Merry Maids and was robbed and then hired another popular maid service and was robbed again. BONDED DOES NOT MEAN SQUAT! A former police officer owned one of them.
