DOT Collecting Carteret County Storm Debris
Clean up continues after a tornado ripped through Carteret County with 110mph winds on May 30.
The N.C. Department of Transportation is working to remove debris. They are asking property owners to put vegetative debris along the right of way on Little Kinston Road. Debris will be picked up until June 15.
The DOT will collect trees and limbs. Property owners are also asked to cut storm-related debris into five- or six-foot pieces and place it along the roadway and out of travel lanes.
